Overview:

The role of a leader has fundamentally changed.

Today's organizations need leaders who don't just manage tasks - they develop people, shape culture, influence with integrity, and foster environments of accountability and trust. This session explores what it means to be an empowered leader in a modern workplace, equipped to lead with presence, empathy, courage, and clarity.

Participants will learn the core leadership capabilities that strengthen credibility and trust - two non-negotiables in today's leadership landscape. We will examine the mindset shifts required when moving from individual contributor to people leader, including the transition from "doing" to leading. This includes how to set expectations confidently, create psychological safety, and build a climate of openness where team members feel valued, heard, and supported.

A strong focus is placed on communication - not just what leaders say, but how they say it, and the impact it has on motivation, engagement, and alignment. Participants will learn how to communicate vision and expectations clearly, hold meaningful coaching conversations, and listen at a level that builds understanding, trust, and respect.

Because leadership can be challenging and emotionally demanding, we explore the role of emotional intelligence - specifically, how self-awareness, empathy, and emotional regulation influence leadership effectiveness. Leaders will learn strategies to remain composed and confident, especially when navigating difficult personalities, performance issues, or high-pressure situations.

Influence also remains a critical leadership skill, but in this context it's not about influencing without authority - it's about influencing with responsibility. Leaders must guide behaviour, model accountability, and encourage growth while maintaining consistency, fairness, and credibility. Participants will explore how to build influence ethically and authentically, and how to motivate others to follow not because they have to, but because they want to.

This webinar is designed to be both reflective and actionable. Leaders will evaluate their current leadership style, identify strengths to amplify, uncover blind spots, and commit to intentional behaviours that enhance their impact. Through examples and practical strategies, this session equips leaders with the tools to lead confidently, connect meaningfully, and elevate team performance.

By the end of the session, leaders will walk away not only with new skills, but with greater clarity around who they want to be as a leader - and how to lead in a way that creates trust, engagement, and results.

Why should you Attend: Leadership today looks nothing like leadership a decade ago - and certainly not like the command-and-control style many of us first learned. Teams expect more than direction. They want clarity, empathy, connection, transparency, and a leader they trust. The challenge? Most leaders were never formally trained to lead people in this new environment.

The truth is: your team's performance is a reflection of your leadership. And with pressures increasing, talent shifting, and expectations rising, leaders who don't evolve will feel the consequences quickly - disengagement, turnover, conflict, declining results, and burnout (for both the team and the leader).

If you're stepping into leadership for the first time, you may feel the weight of it - the pressure to perform, the uncertainty of “Am I doing this right?”, the struggle to balance confidence with vulnerability, and the fear of not being taken seriously.

If you're an experienced leader, you may recognize that what used to work no longer does. Motivating today's employees requires a different toolkit - one rooted in emotional intelligence, trust-building, influential communication, and human-centered leadership.

This session is designed for leaders who want to grow, adapt, and succeed - not through authority, but through empowered, modern leadership that resonates with today's workforce. You'll learn how to elevate your leadership presence, strengthen trust, communicate with purpose, inspire commitment, and create an environment where people can thrive and deliver results.

If you want to feel more confident in your leadership, build stronger relationships with your team, and lead in a way that feels both authentic and effective, this session will show you how. Whether you're just beginning your leadership journey or ready to evolve your leadership style, you'll gain practical tools and personal insight to lead with clarity, courage, and impact.
