Overview:

Excel and Power BI are both powerful Microsoft tools - but they're built for different stages of your analytics journey.

In this one-hour webinar, you'll discover where each tool shines, how they overlap, and how to use them together for maximum impact.

We'll break down the strengths, limitations, and real-world use cases of both platforms - from data modeling and automation in Excel to visualization and sharing in Power BI. You'll see live comparisons of the same dataset analyzed in both tools, and learn how to transition from spreadsheet-based reporting to interactive dashboards that drive better business decisions.

Whether you're a long-time Excel user, a Power BI beginner, or a manager deciding where to invest your team's efforts, this session will help you make smart, data-driven choices about your analytics workflow.

Areas Covered in the Session:

  • The fundamental differences between Excel and Power BI in purpose, design, and scalability
  • When to use Excel for analysis - and when to move to Power BI for automation and collaboration
  • Data modeling: PivotTables vs. Power Query vs. the Power BI data model
  • Visual storytelling: charts and conditional formatting in Excel vs. Power BI dashboards
  • Real-time demo: analyzing the same dataset in both Excel and Power BI
